Back Again?

If anyone by chance, still checks my xanga, which no one probably does, since everyone probably gave up hope, but if you do, because you believe in me, and are that excited by or entralled with my writing then this message is for you. I will be back in Texas from Aug. 12- Sep.1. It's just me and baby, Jason will be gone somewhere doing some exercises, playing Navy. Anyways, I'll be in Gainesville most of the time without transportation, but if you want to come up and see me then you may. Or if you would like to try and work something out, that is possible also. I would love to see people that I haven't for a while, and show off the beautiful baby. Just send me a message if you may desire to see me, preferably an email, and I will give you my digits, and we will work things out. (Three months away from school and my grammar has been shot to heck.)

The "&*!# It's Cold Party" went pretty well, surprisingly. We had quite an odd bunch of characters, many who I didn't know. There was even two guys that showed up that none of us roomies knew. Since our parties are always rather small, it seemed a little weird at first, but they were cool guys. There were many laughs at the party. For the first time in a while, I laughed so much that my cheeks started to hurt. I even made an appearance in my stato-matic-fanatic shirt (this hideous, way too small t-shirt that I bought from a vintage store.)

I stayed up til 3 Thursday night studying and got all bundled up to go to school to take my English final, my only Friday exam. When I got there, the professor said that if we were happy with our grades, we didn't have to take the final. Which, I guess is great in theory. But, I probably would have done good on the exam, and for me, it's studying that is the bad part. The exam lasts maybe an hour at the most, studying is many many many hours. So, it would have been much better to know before hand that I didn't need to study.

Cradle 2 the Grave (Widescreen Edition)

I should by all means by studying, but instead, I thought I'd make a quick post about movies, and how much I love movies. They are all so convenient. For example, I just watched Cradle 2 the Grave the other day with Jet Li and DMX. I liked the movie, and it had the best ending possible. A helicopter crashes spilling gasoline in the shape of a ring and conveniently breaking a water pipe make it look as though it's raining, the gas lights on fire and creates a ring of fire surround Jet Li and this other Asian guy for their final showdown. I'd have to say that's pretty much the best way to end a movie. But, it seems a little unrealistic because I know whenever I'm in a final showdown, I don't ever encounter a ring of fire with water pouring down, no matter how much I wish I did. I guess I could create my own, but it's not as cool when you make it. I have to put off all the crazy fighting with the baby coming and all, I'm not as agile as I once was, BUT after February, I'll be back on the fighting circuit, and maybe then, in a final, once in a lifetime showdown, I'll get that ring of fire.

First, I must start with a few cautions. If you don't like Texas, you won't like my post. Second, you should read the post with a thick country accent, and don't pretend like you can't, there's acountry accent deep down inside every one of us, well, for some it's not so deep down. Last, I definitely am going to make up new words and misuse real words/terms, so if you get confused, look at the glossary at the end of the post.

My husband and I are planning on settlin' down in Texas, once he is done with all his military service. And I began to think, and I soon realized that I must Texanize him because I can't be seen around Texas with a foreign national. But, how do you make a Texan? What are the requirements? Me, I am Texas born, Texas raised, and Texas proud. Texas is in my blood. But, he's from somewhere not so grand as Texas,
called Ohio. But, I'm a thinkin', it ain't to late for 'im to become one. Cause I seen some people born in Texas that ain't really Texan, so why cain't I Texanize a foreignor. But, I need so help from anyone who reads my post, well not quite anyone, only genuine Texans, no foreign nationals. What I'm a gonna do is I'm a gonna put up here a list of
things that make a person a Texan. But, I don know what all it takes, so I want any real Texans to add on to it. So that I can make my boy into a real man (a Texan).

THE LIST OF TEXANDOMS:
1. Must use "y'all" in everyday conversation.
2. Must own one or all of the following: cowboy hat, cowboy boots, wranglers
or a belt buckle.
3. Must think the most beautiful flag in the world is red, white, and blue
and has only one star.
4. Must have slightly treasonous thoughts at least once a week.
...Now, this is where you add on.

Glossary of Terms:
Texanize: to make a genuine Texan
Foreign National: Anyone who is not from the "nation" of Texas, also anyone born in Texas that doesn't like it or doesn't think it's the best state ever
Texandoms: Things that make a person a Texan
Treasonous thoughts: well, technically, I probably used the word right because I'm referring to thoughts about Texas breaking off from the US and returning back to the glory days of the Republic of Texas

I was going to write a real fun post today about Texas, but I'm saving it for tomorrow, not that it matters because I've lost most of my fan base. But, I changed my mind about the post because when I signed online today, I read a sad article about 10 marines dying in Iraq and 11 more wounded in a single attack. The attack happened near Fallujah, where Jason just left. Along with that I got an email from my very good friend, who is also in Iraq. Earlier this year, he had an option to change platoons, he left the decision up to his commander, who decided it would be best if he did change platoons. His former platoon, which he was the leader of, was in a bad fire fight, had two men killed and several others wounded. It seems like everyone has kind of forgotten that this war is going on and that there are still men over there. Over 2000 have been killed. While most people are unaffected by it and have forgotten all about it, there are those of us, friends and family of servicemen, who have to think about it every other day. So, my point is, please don't forget about those soldiers over there and their families here that wait and wonder everyday. Keep the soldiers and there friends and families in your thoughts and prayers. Alright, the end. Tomorrow's post will be fun I promise.
